This extraordinary Grande Champagne cognac from Normandin-Mercier is composed of some 70+ year-old components, the oldest dating from 1872. Its 40% alc/vol is derived naturally with no dilution, creating an unparalleled smoothness and depth of flavor. On the nose it is fruity, with powerful aromas of candied and dried fruits, chocolate, coffee, and spice. The palate is similarly potent, with flavors of tobacco, rose, licorice, honey, and vanilla that linger for a long, pleasant finish.
